Editorial

Welcome to September’s newsletter.

For those of you that actually bothered to turn out for the Tournament on the 24th, we hope you enjoyed it.

Along with Mechwarrior, this month should also see the Marvel HeroClix game from Wizkids demoing, for more information see the panel below.

So far there is nothing definite planned for October, so if you have anything you want to run or play please see either Steve or Shaun.

Mechwarrior & Marvel HeroClix

We are still selling Mechwarrior: Dark Age Starters & Boosters to anyone that is interested, Shaun is the man to see if you want to purchase any.

We will also be giving Marvel HeroClix a run out before the end of the month. The game play is very similar to Mechwarrior, except that you play with Marvel Superhero’s & Villains, (a DC version of the game is released at the end of the month with an independent Comic book set due next year), and you play on a gridded city map.
Rob will be running some intro games when we get a set in so see him if you want to give the game a try.

Run a Campaign Competition

As we seem to have a distinct lack of people coming forward to run campaigns, the club has decided to run a little competition:

To take part you will need to organise & run a 1 month long campaign (4-5 weeks, your chose), for 4 or more people. If you want you can also include a Saturday’s battle day into the campaign.

For this you will get 1 months free club entry (worth up to £12)

Then in December we will all vote for the best campaign, the winner will win one Year’s free membership to the club, worth £82 in savings.

If you have a campaign idea that you would like to run, then you will need to see Steve & register your interest so that we can sort out when it will start.
