Siege Rules

One Saturday afternoon, we had the club to ourselves and thought about what kind of game we could play. The idea of a Warmachine siege came sounded like fun but there were no readily available siege rules for us to use.

Luckily, it was pretty easy to whip up some warjack-style cards for a castle and formulate a simple set of rules for the siege game.

The first time we played using the siege rules, we had nearly a whole day to play the game so we set the fortress to ARM 25 and DEF 10. This proved very hard to destroy and in later siege games we reduced this to ARM 18 and DEF 5. The fortress was easily breached with such a low ARM value but the defender still had enough of an advantage to keep the game balanced.
