War of Vengeance: Dark Moon Rising
This campaign will run every other week for a minimum of six weeks. People that participate in this campaign will be expected to play on the Warhammer nights that they attend. I am sure that players will understand the need for a focussed gaming night, based on the recent dip in Warhammer at the club. I would prefer that all models are painted to a good standard, but failing this, if players could at least paint a unit a week it would show willing. Points will be deducted from players who do not make an effort to paint their models. At the end of the campaign, there will be bonus points for having armies fully painted for at least half of time that the campaign is running. WYSIWYG. Please make two copies of army lists, one for the campaign manager and one to show your opponents at the beginning of a game. Beardyness will be heavily penalised.
Starting Armies (500 points max): 1 character choice (not of lord level), a minimum of 2 core units, up to one special unit, and up to 1 (if army list says two per choice then this rule is still in effect) warmachine are allowed.
Starting Territory: Pick one territory from the following page then randomly generate another. These are your corporeal holdings and will affect your armies as written.
Gaining Territory: Before a battle, players must randomly generate a battlefield (territory) that they will be fighting for. In addition to this, players must also stake one of their own territories. Whoever wins the battle keeps their staked territory and can choose to take the territory generated or the opponents staked territory. The loser gets whichever is left. You can only ever have 12 territories under your control.
Points and Growth: A win is worth 2 growth points, a loss/draw 1. At the end of the weeks play the total points accumulated will be added and multiplied by 5. This total will be added to the 500 points starting total to work out the points total for next week. Territories are not added to the group total. The winner of the campaign is the army with most victories at the end of the campaign.

Final Summary:
The quality of the final two weeks gaming was immeasurably improved by the introduction of Max and Dave H. Thanks to them for reinvigorating the rest of us!
In the final week, I conducted an anonymous vote for the best players, painters and sportsmen of the league. There were four different categories:
- Best Tactics - goes to Des Brennan
- Best Painter - goes to Steve Fase
- Best Sportsman - goes to Rob West
- Best Overall General - goes to Ian Dawe
Congratulations to all the winners and competitors of the league.
The End Table:
Unfortunately, some players had managed to get a lot more games, so I brought everyone up to the maximum games played so far (13) by giving them draws (1 point per game). The completed points table is therefore:
