Storm of Chivalry

A clash of arms between mighty armies of the Middle Ages, using the Armies of Chivalry Warhammer Ancients supplement. Players will be able to participate in a variety of scenarios and tactical situations during the day with themed scenery provided. The scenarios range from small fast raids to a day long siege. And if this wasn’t fun enough there will be a joust for all to take part in!

This event is for armies not exceeding 1500 points selected from the Armies of Chivalry supplement. Armies should be fully painted.

The Joust

All players in attendance are welcome to participate in a joust game that shall be running all day.

Special Characters

A selection of slightly wacky special characters will be offered to players. Any resemblance to real persons is unfortunate.

Ye Ole Marketplace

Players can acquire the services of troops to assist in a specific scenario. Ye olde marketplace is open 20 minutes before a period and during lunchtime.

The Scenarios

1. The Siege

Sieges were a common feature of medieval warfare. Here we simulate the interplay between the besieger and the besieged. Several small scenarios build up to a climatic assault on the castle.

Timescale: 6 Periods (All day)

Player 1: Besieged 1500 points

Player 2: Besieger 1 1500

Player 3: Besieger 2 1500

 

2. Once More Unto The Breach

A classic field battle using the meeting engagement scenario. In the second game the attackers are a possible relief force arriving to raise the siege.

Timescale: 3 periods (2 games available)

Player 4: Attacker 1 1500 points

Player 5: Attacker 2 1500 points

Player 6: Defender 1 1500 points

Player 7: Defender 2 1500 points

 

3. Ye Steppes

Played on a wide open board (8’x4’) with only a few terrain features, one player attempts to defend his territory from a force of raiders.

Timescale: 2 periods (3 games available)

Player 8: Raider 1500 points

Player 9: Defender 1500 points

 

4. Forest Ambush

The local authorities are returning to their garrison with taxes and other ill gotten gains obtained from their unwilling subjects. As they advance through a forest, rebels or bandits are preparing a welcoming party…

Timescale: 1 Period (6 Games available)

Player 10: Ambushed 750 points

Player 11: Ambushers 1000 Points

 

5. Ye Citie Fighte

Enemy forces have seized control of a town and barricaded themselves in. They must be driven out.

Timescale: 1 Period (6 Games Available)

Player 12: Attacker 1500 points

Player 13: Defenders 500 points

 

6. Holy Troublemaker

The vile stench of heresy taints the land; a religious dissident who promotes strange and dangerous ideas is spreading it. He must be stopped before he incites an uprising.

Timescale: 1 Period (6 Games)

Player 14: Enforcers 1000 points

Player 15: Holy Escort 750 points

 

7. Hill Defence

The stalwart defenders bravely make a stand atop a hill, awaiting the inevitable assault.

Timescale: 2 Periods

Player 16: Attacker 1500 points + bonus

Player 17: Defender 1500 Points

 

Please note that food will not be provided by the organisers. There are however, a number of restaurants and cafés nearby from where food may be purchased.
