We have been PEWCing in Enfield, North London since 1997 and currently reside in the United Reform Church Hall, College Court, Ponders End, directly opposite Ponder's End Library, just off the High Road (A1010). Click here for a map. Within easy reach of central London by rail and the surrounding area by the M25 we have members from far and near. For detailed information on how to get to the club using public transport, go here. We meet every Tuesday, at 7pm and finish around 11pm. As, unfortunately, nothing is free in this world; the club needs to charge a small fee to cover its costs. For non-members it is £4 a night. Members pay £3 a night or £10 for the whole calendar month. Yearly membership is only £10 and this is reduced by £2.50 for each quarter that passes. It makes sense to become a member as you will make a huge saving over the whole year, whilst making use of everything the club has to offer.
If you have never been to the club before and are thinking about coming down, but have a few questions on your mind then go here and we will do our best to help.
Our original mission was to provide a sanctuary for gamers of all different genre to come together and throw some dice, deal their cards or even move their pieces on a board. This objective has been maintained ever since and all manner of gamers can be found having fun playing at the club on a Tuesday night. From GW 40K and Warhammer, to Warmachine and Confrontation, from the far reaches of the Ancient Roman Empire to the bloody beaches of Normandy (and everywhere inbetween), and even from the realms of pulp fiction to intrepid SG teams stepping through the Stargate - you are likely to find it all at PEWC.
The club has collected a vast amount of scenery and equipment for use by club members. Usually all you need to bring with you is the force of your choice so you can battle away on the night. Even this is not always necessary as you try out new games with either the club armies or one provided by the member running the game. In this way you can try the army or 'period' out before running off and spending your money!
Light refreshments from our subsidised 'snack shack' is available on the night and there are copious amounts of take aways and chippies around the corner for that pre-battle scarf session!
